E-bikes are the best way to experience Niseko during summertime!

With so many great cafés, restaurants, stores, and activities in the area combined with quiet roads, breathtaking scenery and a comfortable climate, Niseko is the ideal destination for those seeking a casual yet rewarding bicycle adventure.

Our rental bikes are all brand new for 2025, and have been carefully selected for comfort and ease of use. They have a battery range of over 100 kilometres and are equipped with a high powered Yamaha pedal assist motor, allowing you to go as little or as far as you want on any given day, or over multiple days. The bikes feature an upright riding position, a built in basket for your shopping, and efficient yet sturdy tyres that make them perfect for use on road and gravel surfaces.

Where to Ride

There are many popular destinations within 20 minutes riding distance of our store, including the ever-popular Niseko Takahashi Milk Kobo, Prativo restaurant, Byron Bay Coffee, the salmon fishing pond, the strawberry farm, the Annupuri Summer Gondola Ride, and the Soga Shrine, to name a few.

People who wish to venture a little further can head down to Niseko Town for fresh produce direct from local farmers at Niseko View Plaza, an ice cream from Niseko Gelato, visit the Arishima Takeo Memorial Museum, have lunch at one of the many quality cafés, or even venture further to the ostrich farm or tofu factory. Please note: Our bikes are designed for use on paved surfaces and gravel roads, however are not suitable for mountain biking or similar off road applications. 

How to use Cycling Map

To see the comprehensive list of summer cycling destinations in the Niseko area, please refer to the map above. To use, select the icon next to “Niseko Cycling Map”, and then select/deselect the routes that are of interest. You can filter the routes by Easy, Medium, or Hard, depending on your enthusiasm and fitness level. For a more concise list of places close to us and links to more information about the destinations, please use the list below. 

Availability and Bookings

We take bookings to ensure that we can guarantee availability for full day rentals only. For shorter rental durations, we do not take bookings and therefore bikes are available on a first come, first served basis.

To make a full day booking, please use our online booking portal. All bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking, and no refunds will be given unless cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. All refunds will incur a 10% processing fee.

Sizing

Our bikes are one size fits all and are suitable for guests between the heights of 140-180 cm tall.

What’s Included

All bike rentals include a helmet, bike lock, front light, cargo basket, and pannier rack.

Opening Hours

Our opening hours are usually 10am-6pm, however please check our Google Maps profile for the latest updates. 

Collection of bicycles is often possible outside of opening hours for those who have made a booking, please send us an email at info@villagesportsjapan.com to arrange. 

We can also arrange for bikes to be dropped off outside of operating hours, please notify us in store if you wish to do so.
