After a few rollercoaster seasons, the team is returning in full force and preparing to serve you up with the best ski shop experience in Niseko for the 2024 winter season. This blog provides a brief update of how things are shaping up and what to expect this winter.
Our Product Offering
Since inception Village Sports has been on a mission to deliver the greatest possible ski shop experience, by providing the finest selection of premier retail, rental, bootfitting and workshop services in Niseko Village. Visitors can expect to see the regions most exclusive brands when visiting our store including Peak Performance, Icebreaker, Goldwin, Lange, and Danskin to name a few.
Our boot department is operated by Boot Solutions, the legendary custom ski boot specialists that have been operating in Japan since 2006. The two standalone Boot Solutions stores (located in Niseko Hirafu and Hakuba) focus exclusively on Boots and boot fitting services, while Village Sports has it all – including a specialist Boot Solutions department that employs their years of expertise.
For 2024 we will once again be providing ski and snowboard rentals, and with the traffic we are expecting this winter we highly recommend booking your rentals in advance to avoid missing out. Our range consists entirely of premium equipment, ensuring that skiers and snowboarders can have their best possible rental experience, whether you are a beginner or expert. We have gear for all conditions including Niseko’s deep powder snow, and customers are encouraged to swap between equipment at no extra charge. This means you can enjoy a powder snowboard when it is a powder day, a carving board on a regular day, and swap over to skis if you so please.
The bottom line is that we are ready to share with you the best of everything: product, service, bootfitting, rentals.
Our Location
We are located within the The Village Shopping and Dining Area, which is also known simply as “The Village”. The design concept at the The Village Shopping and Dining Area blends traditional with modern, showcasing Japan’s traditional wooden townhouse exteriors in combination with luxuries and function of the 21st century, and you may find that the architecture on its own is something special. The Village boasts an arrangement of Niseko’s finest bars, restaurants and stores that make this one of the regions must visit destinations, along with the beautiful winter Christmas display, the Chinese New Year celebration, and other themes and events that will fill your visit with beauty and wonder. Our store location within the Village can be easily found on Google Maps, and will be open from 8am-8pm throughout the winter season.Specials

Opening Dates
After a hot summer we have closed our doors for now, and will reopen in line with the Niseko Village winter operations. Currently the opening date for the Niseko Village ski resort is forecasted as being on the 2nd of December 2023, this is weather dependent and will be confirmed closer to the time.

Demo Days and Events
We have got a few events in the pipeline for the upcoming season, including on snow demo days with some of our leading ski and snowboard manufactures. Our demo days are a great way to talk with the brands, learn more about the products, and test the equipment out on the snow. The cost of these upcoming demo days is free however customers must provide their own lift ticket, we will announce the dates of these demo days on our Facebook and Instagram when finalised.
